Al Hamra Mall in RAK opening date is expected to be in the first quarter of 2010 according to a press release 30 November 2009. A bit later than the original opening date scheduled for 2007. Some shops are already open, and the Spinneys supermarket there (quite a large one, and has a pork section) opened in April 2008.
Shopping mall looks quite pleasant, should be worth a visit once everything is open. Al Hamra Mall is part of Al Hamra Village. Location is opposite RAK Ceramics on the road between Dubai and RAK, a fair distance out of RAK City. If travelling from Dubai on the Emirates Road, turn left at the end of it, not right.
