Another delay for the Dubai Metro Green Line, this time to the end of 2010. The Green Line of the Dubai Metro was originally expected to start in March 2010, then the start date was put off until June 2010, then there were reported comments (in Emirates Business 24-7 on 17 September 2009) by the head of the RTA Dubai Rail Agency that the Green Line launch date wouldn’t be until the end of 2010. Will it end up not opening until 2011?
I thought there was also a comment that the opening of the remaining Red Line stations would also be delayed until June 2010 but I must have misread that or imagined it, I can’t find confirmation now.
