The number of stations on the Dubai Metro’s Red Line expected to open is anywhere from just 9 to all 29 depending on who you listen to. Reports yesterday are saying only 9 or 10 stations, repeating a figure that was seen in forums and blogs in early August or late July 2009. The Dubai Metro Red Line opening date is scheduled to be 09 September 2009. And given the hype and promotion of the Dubai Metro opening day, it is unlikely to be delayed, but just from looking at the stations along Sheikh Zayed Road and elsewhere, it looks quite likely that less than the total number of stations will open.
