University of Dubai information updated. It looks like they were a member of the Accrediting Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) but now just have a course accredited by ABET. Or they never were a member. Either way, the Dubai University website says both (on different pages).
I can clarify the situation. Institutions are not members of ABET. ABET’s membership is the 29 technical/professional societies as listed on our website. ABET accredits programs not institutions, departments or degrees. The reference in the third bullet on the link page is correct per ABET’s policy for public release and ABET is at 111 Market Place, Suite 1050, Baltimore, MD, 21202, USA. Please contact me should you have any further questions. The institution will be notified to make sure that ALL references to the accreditation of the Computing and Information Systems (CIS) Program are correct and consistent.
Ok, good one. Thanks for clarifying that :). University of Dubai information page on DubaiFaqs has been updated.
