Durham University UAE

Durham University and HCT signed a Memorandum of Understanding in the UAE according to a press relase 05 November 2009. Durham University and the Higher Colleges of Technology might exchange teachers and students, and will “explore the possibilities in fields of Islamic Finance, teaching and research.” So does that mean they will be investigating teaching and research of Islamic Finance, or they will be investigating collaboration in teaching, research, and Islamic Finance?

The MOU was signed in Abu Dhabi on 01 November 2009 by Sheikh Nahayan Mabarak Al Nahayan, the HCT Chancellor and Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and Professor Christopher Higgins, Vice Chancellor and Warden of Durham University.

Apart from working together on Islamic Finance, the MOU is to “explore exchange opportunities in fields of mutual interest, invitations to scholars for lectures, conferences, colloquia and symposia as well as possibilities for exchange of faculty members, and postgraduate and undergraduate students.” … er, what was that?
