Ed’s Pets Jumeirah Dubai

Ed’s Pets in Jumeirah added to the list of Dubai pet shops that might be worth considering (most Dubai pet shops have a bad reputation). A bit of an assumption given that I didn’t even have a look inside. Ed’s Pets is on Jumeirah Beach Road near Citibank, in the office space that a real estate company was in during early 2009. Looks like Eds Pets has just opened, didn’t see or find a tel number or any other information.

I don’t know if this Ed’s Pets has anything to do with the report in 7 Days of pets being sold in an Ed Hardy fashion store on Jumeirah Beach Road. According to the Ed Hardy website, that seems to be the Sauce shop in Jumeirah Village shopping center in Jumeirah 1, opposite Magrudy’s Jumeirah. Unlucky timing for Ed’s Pets then. Or perhaps lucky if they can somehow take advantage of the free publicity the news generates.

    Hello there
What’s with all these rubbish articles posted by 7days. I personally visited the store a few weeks ago and it was wonderful! A great store where my pommeranian can socialize as there pets are running around in store!

I personally don’t agree with many articles that gets published in 7days. I also have an opinion regarding Pet Stores: no matter where you are, in Dubai or other places, People should avoid buying from pet stores. Pet stores get their puppies from Puppy Mills. Dubai has no local puppy mills (thankfully), but Dubai pet stores import their puppies from oversea puppymills! YES INCLUDING Ed’s Pets (not called: World of Pets). I visited them not so long ago, and I wasn’t happy with the quality of their puppies. You can tell that they were badly bred! Search “Puppy Mills” to see what I am talking about!

Update to original post: There is an Ed Hardy clothing store next door to the pet shop.
