Fujairah rent cap information updated on the Dubai rent cap page. A rent cap is under consideration according to comments reported in the reported in the Gulf News 04 May 2009 from Mohammed Saif Al Afkham, the Deputy Director of Fujairah Municipality, who said “The final text of the legislation is now under study and is expected to get the final approval before it is officially adopted. A committee was set up to deal with the unreasonable increase in rents.”
GN said Abu Dhabi, Ajman, Dubai, and Ras Al Khaimah (RAK) already had rent caps, but didn’t mention Fujairah, Umm Al Quwain, or Sharjah, which also have, or had, rent caps. The UAE rent caps table lists a 15% rent cap in Fujairah from 2007.
