Greenfield Community School (GCS) in Dubai Investment Park (DIP) is expanding according to the Gulf News and/or a press release 16 December 2009 about a groundbreaking ceremony held on Monday 14 December 2009.
- Groundbreaking was for Phase 2 of the International Baccalaureate (IB) school.
- Opening date of Phase 2 will be September 2010.
- New facilities will include art and design studios, auditorium, cafeteria for senior students, classrooms, dance studios, design technology rooms, drama studios, green house, learning enhancement suites, music studios, science laboratories (biology, chemistry, physics)
- New building for middle-year students (Grades 6-10) from September 2010, and diploma year students (Grades 11-12) from September 2011
- School time capsule (10 years) buried including current school uniform, yearbooks, letters to the students of 2019, school photographs, and a music CD
