Industrial Development Bank of India in Dubai (IDBI Bank Ltd) received a licence to open a branch at the DIFC in Dubai from the Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA) (press release 03 June 2010).
- This will be the first overseas / international / offshore branch of IDBI Bank, a large bank with home base in India.
- The DIFC branch is licenced to offer “a full range of corporate banking services including financial advisory services and syndication of credit from the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC). “
- IDBI Bank DIFC received a Category 1 licence from the DIFC/DFSA according to a Gulf News report 07 June 2010.
