Souk Extra expansion plans for the Middle East involve opening a total of 75 shopping centers in the next 10 years, according to a press release 27 October 2009. The Souq Extra Managing Director, Saleh Abdullah Lootah, said “The new strategic plan involves the opening of 75 SouqExtra! outlets across the UAE and the Middle East over the coming decade,”
So far there’s one SoukExtra shopping center open in Dubai, at the Ewan Residences in Dubai Investment Park. Or at least a Spinneys is open there anyway. Anything else open yet?
Not much else was in the press release, nothing about locations or planned opening dates except for the Ewan Residence SouqExtra - official opening in November 2009.
