SouqExtra Ewan Residences opening date expected to be September 2009. Press release 31 August 2009 mentioned the date as a soft opening, along with news of progress on shops fitting out. Spinneys Dubai will open a store there, and there will also be a handful of other shops included Ansari Al Redha Exchange, Al Farooj Restaurant, Bare Beauty salon (sounds interesting!), Dubai Library (a library or a bookshop?), Life Pharmacy. Ewan Residences is in Dubai Investment Park (DIP), sort of south of the Green Community, near the Greenfield Community School (I think).
