The Mojo Gallery Dubai is a new art gallery in Al Quoz, a block behind the Times Square shopping mall on Sheikh Zayed Road. Opening date is 03 November 2009. The Mojo Gallery website says “Mojo Gallery will focus on exhibitions that explore contemporary themes and concepts in fine art and design through multiple mediums and formats… We are dedicated to promoting artists from around the world to develop an ongoing dialogue between Dubai and other international art scenes.”
First exhibition by Gail Caitlin, a South African artist. Exhibition will run from 04-25 November 2009 and is supported by the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority. Mojo say “Gail Caitlin is one of South Africa’s most accomplished artists and the first and only artist to perfect the use of liquid crystals as the principal medium in her art. The inescapable power and vibrancy of Gail’s work has earned her a reputation as one of South Africa’s most spirited and compelling artistic innovators.“
