UAE University plans to become a research university according to an announcement at the UAE University Convocation Ceremony on 06 October 2009. More facilities under development. Reported in the Gulf News 07 October 2009 but not much in the way of details supplied. There was some previous information that UAE University was going to offer PhD programs.
