Pune University in Ras Al Khaimah, a new Indian university established in RAK - UAE earlier this year (February 2009), was advertising MBA courses starting April 2009. Both part time and full time (2 years) MBA courses offered, it wasn’t clear if only part time started in April 2009 and full time in September 2009, or full time was also starting in April 2009. Other courses start in September 2009. MBA costs 20,000 dhs per year, couldn’t find prices for other courses.
Not a great time for new ventures in the UAE, especially for education in RAK. The relatively new George Mason RAK University is closing in May 2009, and the new RAK American School that opened in November 2008 closed after only 3 or 4 months. Good luck to Pune University then …
